    THE HEADLINES

    • The corporate income tax with solidarity surcharge in Germany is 15.825%. Trade tax is between 8.75% and 20.3% depending on location.
    • The personal income tax rate is 45% plus surcharges
    • Standard VAT rates stand at 19%. There’s a temporary deduction of VAT for meals (excluding drinks) in restaurants and other catering spaces taking the rate from 19% to 7% until the end of December 2022.
